The Depot now has POWER!  We invite you down to re-charge phones, hang out and take a break – Internet is working also!

UPDATE: No Zumba today

As a reminder when the schools are closed – the Depot will be closed.

The Depot, Darien’s Youth Center, will be opening its doors to ALL 6th graders in Darien. Pizza, ice cream and drinks will be provided. Fun activities have been planned and include a DJ w/games, outdoor basketball and more. So, tell your 6th grader to grab a friend and come join the fun on Wednesday, October 24th from 3-4:30pm (rain date is Thursday, October 25th). The cost is $20 per child, pay at the door.

In order for the event to take place we are in need of 10-12 parent chaperones.

Straight Talk: October 22nd 7:30 – 8:30PM at The Depot

“We went out for the night, my child only had a few friends over, the cops were called… Now what?”

Last year The Darien Police Youth Officers and The Depot made some changes to “Mom & Pop Shop” and it was a huge success. The new program “Straight Talk” allows parents to talk with Darien’s Youth Officers and School Resource Officer in an unstructured, off-the-record setting. You told us you wanted to talk candidly about underage drinking, parties, liability, texting, sexting… So, mark your calendars… Middle school parents are encouraged to attend – by eighth grade; kids see 100,000 ads for alcohol!

Take an hour to come and meet Darien’s Youth Officers and new High School Resource Officer – no script, no agenda, no large auditorium, just Straight Talk.
